We spent the day at the zoo on Friday.

The Boys had an AWESOME day. I think we covered every inch...lol. We stopped for lunch and they played at the park for a little bit. It was packed down there. So many people that we were bumping into one another.

I am pretty sure by now that most of my readers know about my issues with the moorons in the houses imediatly to the east and west of me....well THE SAGA CONTINUES.......................

So Last week I come home to one of the retards from the blue house actually parked in my driveway!!!!! Yup that is right. I quickly knocked on the door and told them that unless they are gonna start paying my morgtage than to never park in my driveway again. She just nodded.....HELLOOOOOOO is there anybody home in your head?????????? 2 days later I have to knock again for them to stop parking and completly blocking my drive way. And again everyday to follow. So finally I told them that I have, Can and Will again have the vehicle blocking my drive way ticketed and towed if they are any closer that 1 meter from the drive way pavement. Well now the Jackass that owns the brown house is parking there and well he is stupid enough to let me have his towed....lol. Tonight I happened to look out as he was parking 3/4 of the way in my spot and I knocked on the window to get him to move and he thought I was telling him to turn off his headlights.....Um NOOOOOOOOO....I am telling you to move dumbass....I dont care that you are renovationg....it still gives you no right to PARK IN MY DRIVEWAY!!!!!!!!!

Here is the Icing on the cake of the blue house saga......It is currently 11:30 pm on a Sunday night and they now decide to climb a ladder with a power drill in the falling rain and snow to install a satelite dish.......OMFG!!! Must be something FABULOUS on TV tonight!!!!!!!!

Is it the atmosphere?? The Smell?? Family?? The memories?? The Loss?? The weather?? or is it all of these things combined.

Atmosphere: Friendly people who actually know you in a place that you know like the back of your hand.
Smell: Salt sea air.....ahhhhhhhh
Family: That goes withoutsaying...what is home without family?It isn't!!!
Memories: Fond things that make you grin....like playing with your best friend on the playground or sitting with Dad reading!
Loss: Loved ones that leave us far to early.
Weather: Damed fog....who can miss that??????? Well........I can....thats who.

Personally I think it is all of these things rolled into one! Plus a whole lot more!!!

Ever notice how all the best movies come on late at night?? I am sitting here at 10:00 half asleep and trying desperatly to keep my eyes open and on comes a movie....yippeeeee. The UpSide of Anger. Oh goodie I have been wanting to see this forever. So I am sitting here watching the movie, Wide awake by now too of course, and it is an awesome movie. Puts alot of shit into perspective. So I am still wide awake.....why is that now all of a sudden I am not sleepy when 2 hours ago I am dead on my arse?? I dont get it.

How many headaches can a girl get in one month??? I am so tired of all this pain. Seems like I have a constant migraine. On a scale of 1-10....10 being the worst my head never seems to go below a 5....that is rediculous. I have tried all the drugs....massage and what ever else my Dr. suggests....except chiropractic. I am reluctant to go for that....something about having my boned and joints "cracked" that really scares the shit outta me. I mean, think about it, they manipulate your body and make it make sounds that a body should not make....lol. I know I am being psycotic about it but I have enough percocet in me it is a wonder I am able to type at all. Just thought I would rant a little about my pain today.

As with most people this time of year money is short and time is shorter.....Our funds have about run out and I am quickly running out of time. I have been painting and

Painting and...mmm.....Painting some more. We have laid down laminate flooring in the living room and have enough bought to do the kitchen and dinette, We

have even come up with enough to get a new fridge....that DH didnt really want.....he wanted a new stove. So now after all that something has to go rong right???

yuppers it did....GOOD FOOKIN GRIEF!!

Remember the stove up there^^^Well see.....one of the conditions of getting the fridge was that I have the oven cleaned out before DH got home for Christmas.

Today being the ever faithfull one I decided to clean out the oven. Sprayed it out and left it for a while....got my bucket of water and an old scrub rag.....and.....wait

for it..........TOOK OFF THE OVEN DOOR!!! Biggest damed mistake I ever made. This stove is about 15 years old and aparently quite attached to it's oven door....OMG.

I cleaned out the oven and did a pretty good job too I might add. Then came time for the oven door to go back on......or lack there of....IT WONT FOOKIN LATCH.

Great!!!!!! I am as happy about that as a hippo with a fuckin hernia. I call my brother and he tried so hard for a really long time to no success....actually made it worse I

think....lol. I guess I shoulda listened to DH and got the stove to start with.....lol

So now I gotta call a damed repair man to come in and put my oven door back on.....lol....how friggin lame is that????

You rush to the car and drive yourdaughter to school. Because you are late, you drive 40 miles an hour in a 30 mph speed limit. After a 15-minute delay and throwing $60 traffic fine away, you arrive at school. Your daughter runs into the building without saying goodbye. After arriving at the office 20 minutes late, you find you forgot your briefcase. Your day has started terrible. As it continues, it seems to get worse and worse. You look forward to coming home, When you arrive home, you find small wedge in your relations hip with your spouse and daughter.Why? Because of how you reacted in the morning. Why did you have a bad day?A) Did the coffee cause it?B) Did your daughter cause it?C) Did the policeman cause it?D) Did you cause it?The answer is D.You had no control over what happened with the coffee. How you reacted in those 5 seconds is what caused your bad day. Here is what could have and should have happened. Coffee splashes over you. Your daughter is about to cry. You gently say, "It’s ok honey, you just need, to be more careful next time”. Grabbing a towel you rush upstairs. After grabbing a new shirt and your briefcase, you come back down in time to look through the window and see your child getting on the bus. She turns and waves. You arrive 5 minutes early and cheerfully greet the staff. Your boss comments on how good the day you are having.Notice the difference? Two different scenarios. Both started the same. Both ended different. Why? Because of how you REACTED. You really do not have any control over 10% of what happens. The other 90% was determined by your reaction. Here are some ways to apply the 90/10 principle.If someone says something negative about you, don't be asponge. Let the attack roll off like water on glass. You don'thave to let the negative comment affect you! React properly andit will not ruin your day. A wrong reaction could result inlosing a friend, being fired, getting stressed out etc.

How do you react if someone cuts you off in traffic? Do youLose your temper? Pound on the steering wheel? A friend of minehad the steering wheel fall off) Do you curse? Does your bloodpressure skyrocket? Do you try and bump them? WHO CARES if youarrive ten seconds later at work? Why let the cars ruin yourdrive? Remember the 90/10 principle, and do not worry about it.You are told you lost your job. Why lose sleep and getirritated? It will work out. Use your worrying energy and timeinto finding another job.The plane is late; it is going to mangle your schedule for theday. Why take out your frustration on the flight attendant? Why is it that I have to get tlike the WORST neighbours ever???? I didn't realize I was that much of a dick head magnet....lol. Lets start with the IDIOT in the brown house to my right. This character has like 5....yup 5....count them.....1...2...3...4...5....vehicles in his backyard. WHY DO YOU NEED 5 VEHICLES in your back yard when you are an old fart with absolutly no family living with you but your self and your dirty shadow????? This guy has to be the NASTIEST human being on the friggin planet. LIKE EWWWWWWWWWWWW. Buy some soap buddy....you can afford 5 vehicles why not add soap to the list!!! I called Bylaw about the mess and well the property inspector came out and did NOTHING!!! WTF....you warn me for not having the dog registerd and the possibility of a $250.00 fine but the Clown can have this disasterous backyard and get away with it.....WTF!!!!! He even went so far as to use a chainsaw and saw down the tree that is growing in the backyard.....OH AND THE BEST PART....HE IS FRIGGIN RENTING THIS HOUSE....you you read right....RENTING!!! On to the fuckups across the street.....Well there is Big Bertha (not her name but she is HUGE and Craig just decided one day to call her Big Bertha and it stuck....lol) She is no trouble at all....infact she is gone all day long and I get to park my bus in her spot on the road.......WELL these idiots beside her dont want me to park there aparently. My Baby made me cry a few days ago.

We were sitting down to supper when out of nowhere Chance askes "Mom will you marry me??" I looked at him and said "Why?" and he just replied "Cuz I loves you so much mommy." I had tears in my eyes and thought of the song by Steve Wariner "I'm Already Taken"!

While on my vacation to Texas this past weekend we traveled to Beaumont TX where "Rita" did some major dammage. I could not believe what I saw. For about 20 miles before we even made it to Beaumont we were seeing dammage all along the highway. Trees were completly uprooted and buildings had the roofs ripped off.

How Many times Have I heard this story and re read it to my boys in this lifetime.....Far to many to count I would say.

From Zike-Bikes to Stilts, Crunk-cars to Zumble-Zays, Broomsticks to Bumble-boats, Jets and Ga-Zooms.....Marvin K was asked to leave any way he could as long as he just went. And so he did.

When I was a little girl my family had a lady living with us and she was a Big fan of Dr. Seuss. She would sit for hours with me and my brother reading this story over and over again. She eventually moved away from our home and we, unfortunatley, lost contact with her for amlost 25 years. It is my most favorite story book ever. So much so that I special ordered it for my boys.
I tracked this woman down about 3 years ago and we got to talking about how goofy we all were when we were kids and she asked me if I remembered Marvin K. Mooney and when I told her that I got it for my kids she broke down in tears!

What a fantastic memory!

Well I am off to Houston for 5 nights with NO KIDS!!! I am super Excited. I have never been out of Canada before and in almost 9 years of marriage we have not had a honeymoon so this is going to be really nice. It amazes me every day how stupid parents can be.

We, as bus drivers, see pretty much everything from our birds eye view. We see the bus stop, we see the kids getting out of mom and dad's car and we see the kids get on the bus. What you wouldnt expect to see, as a concerned parent and driver, is the parents that just put their child on the bus CUT THE SCHOOL BUS OFF!!!! What the hell are they thinking??? I mean that is you kid on there and you almost cause accidents that could potentially be deadly.....I dont get it! Grrrrrr

Then there are the parents that obviously don't see the big red "NO PARKING...BUS ZONE" Signs. OMG I swear one day I am gonna lose it. I sit there like a wench with my hand on the horn and they look at me like I am the one in the wrong....WTF!!! MOVE DUMBASS!!!! Ackk

Please do me a favor and a the driver of your kids a favor and please obey the traffic signs and be courteous to the school buses!! You never know it might be me you are nice to!!! lol

Never in a million years would I have thought I would be going to Texas.

Grew up in a small town in Newfoundland, moved to Calgary, AB at 19 and now at 29 moving to Houston, TX. I HAVE NEVER EVEN BEEN OUT OF THE COUNTRY FOR GOODNESS SAKES!!!! Canada is all I have ever known.

I have just renovated 2 rooms in my house here in Calgary and well it took me a long time to do. One wall alone in my bedroom took me 3 days to get finnished. I have mastered the striping process in thoes 3 days.......home improvement shows make painting stripes look so easy....NOT!!! Craig called and said that it looked like we would be relocating to Houston and I stopped for a sec and said "You do realize that the stripes are not Peel and stick right??" LMAO I worked as a tension breaker...lol.

We have always known that relocation was possible but I guess we never expected it right now. I told Craig that what ever happened with his work I would be there to support him. My job is so flexable and I can basically drive a bus anywhere that it really dosn't matter where we live. I guess it is just the thought of living in such a HUGE place. "Fear of the unknown" is what Someone said when I expressed my fears.

The boys are downright giddy about the whole thing......as long as we get a house with a swimming pool they really dont care...lo. **swimming pool actually sounds good**smile**LOL

BUT......nothing is written in stone yet....we have alot of paper work to get done!!!

From a town of less than 3000 to a City with more that 3,000,000.....what will we do next....lmao

WOW What a show. The grade 3's & 4's at Daltons school had a concert tonight based on the book "Why Mosquitos Buzz in Peoples Ears". It was AWESOME! Dalton was part of the procussion and they used alot of bongos and shakers and they even had a shadow puppet show in the background. I was amazed. His favorite teacher ever is the music co-ordinator this year and let me tell ya she out did herself!!! Good Job Dalton. Good on ya Buddy!!
